School and District Data

Student Engagement

Administrators and intervention teams require accurate, detailed data about student populations and subgroups of students in order to evaluate effectiveness of instruction, develop school improvement plans, and to identify students in need of Tier 2 or Tier 3 intervention. These types of data are also needed to address data requests from state and federal agencies.

This section of materials will discuss:
  • Comprehensive school-wide longitudinal data systems.
  • Data, information, and processes needed to develop school-based or district-wide school improvement plans, and Nebraska's Improving Learning for Children with Disabilities (ILCD) process.
  • Screening data needed to identify students who may be at risk of negative outcomes, including screening for behavior problems as well as screening for risk of dropout.
