Managing student behavior and providing appropriate consequences when students behave inappropriately is imperative to maintaining a safe learning environment. Addressing misbehavior retroactively creates a game of catch-up that schools will never win. Thus, the key is to employ proactive discipline strategies that focus on rewarding students for their appropriate behavior.
