ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) replaced the No Child Left Behind Act in 2015. The Evidence for ESSA website uses identifiers such as strong, moderate, and promising to rate programs designed to increase the likelihood of student success. This link will take you to a webpage containing 15 programs with a strong rating, 1 with a moderate rating, and 4 with a promising rating. These programs span from middle school to high school and can be sorted by community and ethnic groups as well as into features of the programs such as professional development and metacognitive strategies.
