The NU Data Project supports student assistance teams in the use of data-based problem solving and decision making. The project has developed a curriculum, examples and other materials, which can be used to improve educator skills related to data. As a result, the NU Data project will help student assistance teams to use data effectively in a way that is tailored to specific needs of your school and students.
The NU Data project is designed to strengthen six DataBasics for educators:
- DataBasic #1: Knowledge of data collection tools.
- DataBasic #2: Selecting data collection tools that fit teachers' questions about students.
- DataBasic #3: Collating and graphing data.
- DataBasic #4: Interpreting student data.
- DataBasic #5: Using data to refine instructional modifications.
- DataBasic #6: Selecting evidence-based interventions.
